Beaches

Oludeniz Beach

Oludeniz has an amazing bay with crystal clear aquamarine sea and perfect bathing for most of the summer season, the 3k stretch of beach with a small lagoon at the far end is one of the most beautiful to be found in the whole of the Mediterranean.

From the beach various tourist facilities are available including sunbeds, parasols and a good water sports center, to the back of Oludeniz beach you can find a good selection of places to grab a snack or a nice cold refreshing drink.

Fethiye & Calis Beach

Fethiye is still very much a Turkish town that has managed to hold onto its roots, yet with a flourishing tourist industry all mixed in. The attractive harbour offers a great selection of cafes that run along the promenade, ideal for an early evening stroll before a tasty Turkish dinner. The town sits in a beautiful bay with a large central island, it features an interesting old town and the area has many good quality restaurants for both lunch or dinner. The town has no real beach of its own, however the holiday resort of Calis beach is just 10 minutes along the coast by dolmus. This long stretch of beach offers all tourist facilities including sunbeds, parasols, water sports and is a popular center for kite surfers. The beach is a mix of shingle/large pebbles, the area is flat and can get fairly windy for most of the summer which can help with summer highs of over 40c a common occurrence. The resort offers a good selection of cafes, restaurants, shops and a huge choice of holiday accommodation. Some good quality budget hotels are available in Calis beach and area.
